Google Chromebook Pixel vs Apple MacBook Pro vs Acer Aspire S5 ;Best is............

W.A.Khan,                                                                                                                                                  25/4/2013,                                                                                                                                                                                           Google Chromebook Pixel                                                                                                                                                                      This is the best Chromebook in the world, but even within the context of rating Chromebooks, it's not perfect. The slick-looking, Intel-powered Google Chromebook Pixel combines the touch screen support of Windows 8 with the MacBook Pro's high-res Retina display. It also includes three years of free 1TB cloud storage, and has a 4G LTE option.
But, Pricing starts at a lofty $1,299; Web-based Chrome OS requires you to be online to do most tasks; Web apps can't yet compare to most Windows or Mac software, especially for media-centric activities like video.
The bottom line: Despite impressive hardware specs and solid industrial design, the Chromebook Pixel’s high price and cloud OS limitations make it impossible to recommend for the vast majority of users.                                                                                Specifications

But, Not much else has changed: the price, battery life, and older, thicker appearance, however well designed, remain the same.
The bottom line: While the 13-inch MacBook Pro remains a well-built laptop, it's fallen behind the MacBook Air and Retina Display MacBook Pro in design, lacks higher-end upgrades, and feels too expensive compared with the competition.                          Specifications

But, That port door, named the MagicFlip, is a potential problem if it ever breaks down. The keyboard isn't backlit, and battery life could be better.
The bottom line: Even thinner and lighter than a 13-inch MacBook Air, the Acer Aspire S5 is a great example of an ambitious ultrabook, held back by a few flaws and its high price.                                                                                                            Specifications
