HP Spectre 13 x2 vs Acer Aspire S7 vs Dell XPS 12:Who is the winner?

W.A.Khan,                                                                                                                                               HP Spectre 13 x2                                                                                                                                     The HP Spectre 13 x2 converts into a large 13-inch tablet with a full 1080p display. The system is reasonably priced, and has a decent selection of ports on the keyboard base. The Spectre 13 x2 a first-gen experiment that could be truly great with a few moderate tweaks. As it stands, this is a very good 13-inch tablet that also transforms into an awkward laptop. The Spectre 13 x2 as a slim, attractive ultrabook.Take a 13-inch laptop from HP's high-end Spectre line and give it the hybrid treatment,a high-res 1,920x1,080 screen and faster 802.11ac Wi-Fi, for a total of $1,189,allowing the screen to pop off at the touch of a button to become a larger-than-average tablet. In practice, it's a mixed bag, offering flexibility beyond other hybrids, but also held back by some awkward design decisions.
But, The combined hybrid body is awkwardly top-heavy, and the touch pad isn't sensitive enough for easy all-day use.
The bottom line: A rare larger-screen hybrid, the HP Spectre x2 aims to be both a portable laptop and a video-friendly slate. The price is right, but the design feels awkward and the wonky touch pad makes it hard to use as a full-time laptop.                                                                                                                         Specifications

The battery life with this device is great and the fact that it's only 2.9lbs means that we'll be rocking this baby for a while.
But, The expensive S7 is priced well beyond most other touch-screen Windows 8 laptops. The touch pad is not as responsive as it should be.
The bottom line: One of the few standout products from the first wave of Windows 8 laptops, the Acer Aspire S7 proves that Apple does not have a monopoly on great design.                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Specifications

Open the lid, and you can use the computer as you would any other notebook. You simply push the top front or bottom back of the display to pop it out of its frame, and then flip it over and close it to convert the machine into a tabletThe biggest improvement, though, lies in battery life. The Ivy Bridge version of the XPS 12 provided 5 hours of streaming video, but that figure rose to a 6 hours and 45 minutes when we tested again with the same test. The Dell XPS 12 is one of the most powerful Ultrabooks you'll find. It might be heavy and awkward as a tablet, but when you consider the value that's on offer, with the blistering processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD drive, there's more than meets the eye..
But, For all the hype about touch and tablets with Windows 8, the XPS 12 still works better as a laptop than as a slate. Its battery life is on the low side.
The bottom line: Dell has revamped its rotating Duo laptop concept into the much-improved XPS 12, but like most convertibles, it makes a better laptop than tablet.
