W.A.Khan, Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 The Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 offers high-end components, including gamer-level graphics, a swappable accessory bay, and the coolest-looking backlit keyboard I've seen in a long while.The Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 is a great choice as a gaming laptop that’s lighter and cheaper than your typical desktop-replacement monstrosity. It’s got a full HD resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, and high-motion content looks excellent in playback. Despite a few minor drawbacks, overall it’s a great machine that offers excellent performance and specs for the price.
But, If only the Y500 had a touch screen, which is practically required for the Windows 8 UI, it might be one of my favorite laptops of the year.
The bottom line: For those looking for something more than a feature-light ultrabook, the gamer-friendly Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 is close to brilliant, and several configurations are currently available at a deep discount -- but I can't believe it doesn't have a touch screen. Specifications

The battery life with this device is great and the fact that it's only 2.9lbs means that we'll be rocking this baby for a while.
But, The expensive S7 is priced well beyond most other touch-screen Windows 8 laptops. The touch pad is not as responsive as it should be.
The bottom line: One of the few standout products from the first wave of Windows 8 laptops, the Acer Aspire S7 proves that Apple does not have a monopoly on great design. Specifications
