W.A.Khan, 5/5/2013, Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A Asus essentially maintains performance parity with the similarly priced Acer Aspire S5, but includes a better display.
The Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A is a premium computer with a price tag to match. The build quality is excellent, the performance is great for an Ultrabook and the screen is top-notch.
Sadly, the battery life makes you think twice about its good points when you're spending that amount of money - we're just not sure that it's worth it for all that many people.
If you want a high-end Ultrabook, we recommend the Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A as long as battery life isn't your main concern. Specifications

VS Dell Inspiron 13z - 5323 The Dell Inspiron 13z is a slim, low-cost 13-inch laptop with performance to match more-expensive systems.
But, The plastic body feels cheap, as do the ports flaps and small touch pad.
The bottom line: With the same CPU as you find in ultrabooks that cost a lot more, the Dell Inspiron 13z is a budget laptop that holds its head up high.

VS
Samsung Series 9 NP900X3C (13-inch, 2012) A thin, stylish design, long battery life, excellent screen, and a new second-generation Intel Core i5 CPU make the Samsung Series 9 NP900X3A one of the best ultrathin Windows laptops we've ever seen.
But, The Series 9's way-too-high sticker price makes the MacBook Air look downright affordable by comparison; the flexy case design doesn't feel as good as the MacBook Air's, either.
The bottom line: The $1,649 Samsung Series 9 NP900X3A certainly won't be for every wallet, but this light, well-featured, and striking 13-incher is the closest the Windows world will ever come to a MacBook Air. However, its higher-than-the-Air price will be hard to stomach.
