W.A.Khan, 15/5/2013, HP Envy 14 Spectre HP’s Envy Spectre 14 dares to be different with its glass lid and palm-rest, and as long as you don’t touch, it’s a very attractive look. However, ultimately it adds unwanted fingerprints, slipperiness and weight, and HP’s decision to combine it with plastic detracts from the laptop’s premium feel.
The HP Envy 14 Spectre has a unique glass-covered design and packs a lot of features into a slim 14-inch ultrabook body, plus its multitouch response is great for a Windows laptop.
But, It's expensive, especially considering the standard components, and feels heavier than it should. The glass wrist rest can be awkward.
The bottom line: The first big high-design laptop of 2012, the HP Envy 14 Spectre is a bold experiment that largely succeeds, if you're willing to pay a premium for it. Specifications

But while the latest MacBook Air impressed us greatly, the wow-factor has worn off slightly, due to this being the third iteration of the current design.The 13-inch MacBook Air has new Intel CPUs, better battery life, and an improved 720p Webcam, and finally adds USB 3.0 ports, while shaving $100 off the price from last year's models.

But, Good thing it has a touch screen, because the touch pad is a bit jumpy. Performance is slower than that of similar Core i5 laptops.
